To make the most of your hiking adventure in St. Moritz, consider the following:

  • Seasonal Considerations: The best times to hike in St. Moritz are typically from late spring to early autumn when the weather is milder, and trails are more accessible. We do not recommend hiking early in the spring as the thawing snow patches can be dangerous.

Responsible Hiking and Safety Tips

Respect for nature and safety are paramount while hiking. Always inform someone about your hiking plans and carry emergency contacts with you. Pack according to the weather conditions, carry additional warm layer and plenty of water. Remember to adhere to Leave-No-Trace principles: do not walk away from the trail, do not litter and carry everything you brought with you back to the valley. Do not make nose and heed local guidelines for wildlife encounters.
