Your Guide will meet you right at your hotel in Lucerne at either 9:30 am or 1:30 pm, depending on the time slot you’ve chosen for your private tour.
Staying outside of Lucerne? No problem! Simply meet your guide at the iconic Torbogen (the Arch Monument) just outside Lucerne’s main train station—easy to find and centrally located.

From there, you will hop on a short ride with the local bus and take a funicular up the Sonnenberg, a hill above Lucerne with a fantastic view of the lake and surrounding areas.
At Sonnenberg, we’ll visit a small sustainable family farm — a true gem of the Lucerne countryside. Here, you’ll step into the heart of Swiss rural life, see how local farmers care for their animals, and discover how sustainability and tradition shape Switzerland’s famous dairy and cheese-making heritage. You’ll even get the chance to wander through the barns and meet the animals who call this place home.
During the tour, your guide will share fascinating insights into the area’s past and present, including customs, language, and traditions.

We will take a 2-hour walk on the hills surrounding Lucerne. During the trip, we will also devour delicious local Swiss cheese.
*Please note that the historic funicular is closed from November to the middle of March, and we will take the bus instead.
