From there, a short scenic local bus ride brings us to the beginning of the famous Gandria Olive Trail, a gentle, one-hour lakeside walk on a historic stone path.

This stretch offers panoramic views across Lake Lugano, with the shimmering water on one side and olive trees and wildflowers lining the other.

The walk ends in Gandria, a postcard-perfect village clinging to the lakeshore, one of Ticino’s most romantic spots.

Next, we board a public boat for a relaxing cruise across the lake to a hidden culinary treasure, an authentic Grotto restaurant where your hands-on risotto experience begins.

With the guidance of your local host, you’ll be provided with fresh ingredients, simple tools, and the warm encouragement to create your own traditional risotto.

Whether you choose creamy mushroom or zesty lemon-herb, this is your moment to shine in the kitchen. All the while, you’ll sip locally produced Ticino Merlot or white wine, surrounded by breathtaking views of the lake, forested hills, and quaint villages.
