Do the dairy tour with Livia! This was an excellent way to spend an afternoon! Incredible views, a good easy walk, and great company. Livia was so attentive and kept us engaged and intrigued the entire time. She is an excellent host and guide. She planned ahead and tailored our visit to our requests. She knew so much about Lucerne and was able to answer all of our questions. The views were immaculate and Amalia kindly took our photos in front of the beautiful scenic views. The views from the top of the hill, were incredible & the walk, beautiful! She took us to 2 farms, where we were able (through her translating) to communicate with the farmers & were even provided with a tour of their entire operation ❤️My goal on our trip to Switzerland was to see the countries very special cows & possibly get a cowbell! Sabrina was able to share my thoughts with the farmer & before I knew they allowed us to purchase one of their bells! Sabrina is an incredible tour guide that I’d highly recommend to anyone! Nice tour, tricky hike, overpriced but great guide. Fun tour, four stars only because in my opinion, the tour is way overpriced. Livia was a great guide (loved the story about Wilhelm Tell) the visit to the cheese factory and barbecue was OK, the owner was a little rude because we didn't speak German, also, I do understand it is a farm, but they were pumping and spreading the cow menure right next to the restaurant. Our guide, Livia, met us at the train station and led us on an excellent adventure tailored to our wishes. After a train ride and short bus ride, we ascended a mountain on a cable car. We hiked along trails, visited a cheese making farm and ate an authentic Swiss lunch surrounded by mountains. The scenery was unbelievable, from snow capped mountains to beautiful waterfalls. At the farms he talked about the different kinds of cheeses they make, and some of the cow varieties we saw. At one of the farms he showed us the farm’s little shop, from which he procured fresh milk, apple juice, fruits, and, of course, a variety of cheeses based on our tastes. We hiked a little further to a beautiful viewpoint where we ate cheese and drank juice. Very delicious! After that was the walk back into Lucerne and a bus ride back to the city centre. It was so refreshing to be in the countryside. The farm tours were gorgeous, and you can tell how welcoming and collaborative the farmers are, allowing open tours and offering goods and cheese for sale on the “honor system.” I loved learning about dairy farming, meeting the adorable animals, and of course cheese tasting against the most magnificent alpine backdrop. I spent a full day around Lucerne with Andrea and it is amazing how passionate he is about this territory and the great knowledge he has and sheres with you. We have been together around Sonnenberg area and he guided me for a mountain path, we crossed a wood where he showed me an hidden pond (a family of turtles lives there, apparently!!!), and finally we ended up in a very typical Swiss farm, with cows and little baby calves! On top of that, he also arranged a pic-nic with cheeses and veggies he bought from the farm and fresh bread he personally baked - a dream for any nature lover or simply food lover as I am!!! Our guide Micheal was extremely professional, knowledgeable about Swiss history & culture. He was very social and welcoming and made the group feel very at ease. It gave us a little feel of country living after being in the city for 3 days. You really get the vibe of Switzerland and how the farmers live and maintain their farms. The baby cows are absolutely adorable they will suck on your fingers as if they are nursing. The cow bells give you a sense of calmness to a city girl. Highly recommend after sightseeing in Lucerne. Our guide Mel was knowledgable, fun, and always 2 steps ahead of us in suggesting hikes and activities that pushed our fitness level in a way we really enjoyed. When it was too rainy to hike on one day, she guided us through Interlaken and interesting local attractions. She really made the trip unforgettable. It was a group of six of us and a really relaxing atmosphere. We got to pet some baby calves and tasted some amazing cheese. It lasted for about 3-4 hours and would be best for people who have the ability to walk a decent amount without issues. Brian FSeptember 3, 2026The e-bike tour with Monika Fellmann is fantastic Monika Fellmann was our guide for the day on a wonderful tour of Lake Lucerne. Originally we had booked a e-bike tour of four lakes plus a ferry ride. Our original start time schedule got jammed up by flight delays the day before. Monika accommodated our timing shuffle by delaying the start time of our ride and then she created an alternative route plan to make better use of the day. We absolutely loved the route she created for us (husband/wife) which took us around the lake starting at the train station and into the forrest and farmhouses along the way to Kussnacht. There we got to participate in the town festival for the last weekend of August. Monika got us sorted out with a picnic lunch and gave us some free time to shop around in the summer markets. And throughout the ride, Monika shared stories and fun facts about the areas we were riding through as well as many landmarks that were visible across the lake. We will be adding a return trip to Switzerland in the future and a lot of that has to do with how great of an experience we had with Monika during our ride. Also worth mentioning, the bikes we used were current model e-bikes from Specialized and were in excellent condition. The ease of booking and communication before the trip was excellent. Before arriving, the guides opened up a group chat for direct and easy communication. WE did the self-guided tour, but it did include a meet-and-greet guide on the arrival day, and then on the first full day of hiking we did have a guide, which was very useful. Our Guide (Thomas) was very friendly and knowledgeable. He stayed in contact throughout our trip with several tips and ideas to change up hikes if we needed to. All the hiking trails were just amazing, granted we had perfect weather. Each day brought a new adventure, and at times we felt like the only people around. If you enjoy hiking, this trip is for you. Most days involved leaving a village in the morning, hiking for roughly 5-6 hours, and then spending an afternoon exploring a new village. Each evening we had dinner with our guide (Walter) who was an absolute pleasure getting to know. He was informative about the areas we were visiting, attentive to our needs, quick to respond to any logistical issues (which were few), able to offer suggestions that met our interests and abilities, and extremely adept at adjusting the agenda based on our desires. He kept us on track but did so while being flexible and adjusting to our impromptu wishes. The scenery we experienced, the food we ate, the culture we were exposed to - all exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend doing this trip AND requesting that Walter be your guide. He was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to get the most out of this once-in-a-lifetime trip.Posted on Google

Between telling us the history of Lucerne and answering the many questions we had, he was knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. Our group of 8 got to visit a dairy farm, meet some of the cows, and tried a few of the cheeses they make. The cost was very fair for the length of the tour and everything we experienced.
