We start the day with a warm meet & greet in St. Moritz, your local English-speaking Guide will meet you right at your hotel in St. Moritz at 8:30 am.

Day's Overview
A short bus ride to Punt Muragl where the adventure starts.
From there, we hop on the historic Muottas Muragl funicular, climbing 2.2 km (1.3 miles) from 1,742 m (5,715 ft) to 2,456 m (8,057 ft). This iconic railway, the first of its kind in Graubünden, has been carrying guests since 1907—and the views are just as timeless.

At the top, we take in the sweeping panoramas from the Muottas Muragl terrace, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the region. Then we set off on a scenic trail through Val Muragl, walking along gentle alpine slopes with views of a striking rock glacier as we make our way into the Pontresina Valley. With every turn, the views grow even more impressive.
After about 1.5 hours, we arrive at Unterer Schafberg, where a cozy mountain café invites us to relax with a refreshing drink and perhaps a slice of their famous rhubarb pie.
We then continue hiking for another 45–55 minutes toward Alp Languard, now surrounded by views of Piz Bernina (4,049 m / 13,284 ft), Piz Palü (3,905 m / 12,812 ft), and the dramatic Biancograt ridge. At Alp Languard, we stop for lunch with an unforgettable alpine backdrop.
After lunch, we choose our return path:
- A scenic 2-hour hike through the Stazerwald forest back to St. Moritz.
- A 1-hour walk down to Punt Muragl, where we began the day.
This hike blends natural beauty, history, and alpine adventure—perfect for those looking to experience the best of the Engadin on foot.

After the hike, we will take a short bus back to St. Moritz where your guide will accompany you back to your hotel and provide recommendations for restaurants or shops.
