You will meet Your Guide at Zurich’s main train station, at 8:30 am, or 1:30 pm, directly under the “Meeting Point” sign located beneath the Big Clock, an easy and central landmark in the station.

After meeting your private guide under the Big Clock at Zurich’s main train station and reviewing the day’s plan, we’ll hop on a local tram and make our way to the starting point of our hike, the Uetliberg, Zurich’s beloved “home mountain”, standing proudly at 870 meters (2,850 feet) above sea level.
Right from the start, you’ll be treated to your first sweeping views over the cityscape below.

Our first short detour brings us to the observation deck at the Uto Kulm restaurant, where even more breathtaking vistas unfold, the shimmering waters of Lake Zurich, the sprawling city, and the majestic peaks of the Central Swiss Alps stretching far into the horizon.
From there, we set off at a gentle, relaxed pace along the Planet Trail, a uniquely educational path that artistically represents the vastness of our solar system.
As you walk, you’ll notice that each meter of the trail corresponds to one million kilometers (or 622,000 miles) in space, a humbling and fascinating reminder of the universe’s immensity.
Surrounded by Switzerland’s natural beauty, it’s also a chance to reflect on the importance of preserving the precious world we call home.
Our path winds along the edge of peaceful forests, crosses rolling meadows, and meanders through farmland, all while offering continuous panoramic views over Lake Zurich glistening below.

We finally reach the end point of the hike and reward yourself with refreshments on a terrace with a magnificent view before catching the only cable car to be found in the canton of Zürich.
At the base station, it is a short walk to the local train station for a short ride back to Zürich’s main train station.
We’ll be back either around 12:30 pm or 5:30 pm.
